Season 3, Episode 7 Recap

*cues Mariah Carey Obsessed*

Welcome back to another week of the crazies, it's ya girl Autumn. No just kidding. I do want to welcome you back to another recap, thank you for hanging in there. Let's get into the madness.

Well it looks like the writers are back to the original formula, following Issa, Molly and Lawrence around. Issa starts off with internal dialogue, which was amazing because I could definitely relate to these scattered thoughts. It has been a week since she's heard from the beige bandit named Nathan. At this point he has basically ghosted her. Ghosting, it's basically ending all forms of communication with someone you once had a relationship with but with no warning and/or justification towards the action. I have been a ghost and have been ghosted on, both burn because there is always a better way.

Issa has these dreams about her teeth falling out. I don't even know what that means and I google most of my dreams. Do you look up the meaning behind the weird dreams you have? She tries to go about her day without worrying about hearing from Nathan. It was an ultimate fail because she ends up dropping her phone in the shower. She has an android so she should be fine.

Molly meets up with Andrew and this meet up slowly turns into a date. Andrew is attentive, charming, and flexible. He listened to Molly's every word Molly squared said at Coachella. He warms up Molly's cold exterior with a couple of jokes and a few bright smiles. Then as soon as Molly tries to end their "date", for work (on a Saturday), he settles for a raincheck for tomorrow evening.

Lawrence has had a come to Jesus moment after he contracts an STD from one of his various sexual partners. So now he wants to gain a stronger relationship with God and go to church. I think we have always gone to church after the Lord was weathered a storm or two for us. Chad was thrown that revelation and basically clowns Lawrence at first. Lawrence wants to basically start living right and Chad only sees the superficial way of doing so. Thank the Lord he has a heart and volunteers to go with his friend.

Issa is now trying to get Nathan, the friendly ghost's attention through social media. But she ends up getting disrespected by her brother and her feelings hurt. Along for the social media outreach she begins to doubt herself and starts to lose sight of her present goals.

Molly is out here getting the runaround from Torian on executing their presentation. Do you feel like he is putting Molly on the back burner because he wasn't ready, she's new to the company, because she's a woman or all of the above? Well she skirt skirts (literally and figuratively) over to her real date with Andrew and a lil' thigh out to match. Do you feel Andrew over steps his boundaries (a limit of a subject or sphere of activity) or was he reciprocating the same energy?

It was at this moment I knew Issa has lost her mind. She was blaming someone else for her downfall and didn't even stay to see the plumber, for the building, out. Just over here messing up her daily duties.

Now Molly, what in the world possessed you to go on and do the presentation without your partner? I understand proving to the partners you're ready to be taken seriously, but there are ways to go around it.

Molly and Issa are back to the mess at hands. Molly is a real one for riding this one out, because after that date I would still be in the office. Cancellation of Andrew is a little extreme though, just saying. For Issa to be up from about 9am and arrive to Andrew and Nathan's place, in the same pajamas, around 6pm is a little unsettling to my spirit. She's really out here ready to risk it all for this man, lord. Lil' ol' Andrew done puffed out his chest and told Molly about herself. But baby boo, she is very confusing because she is confused, it's just that simple. Yet if it wasn't for confusing Molly, Issa would still be in the room ready to risk and unlock it all. These damn car scenes get me every time. I have been Molly and Issa multiple times. Hell we all have. It takes that friend who shakes you up and makes sure you realize that a toxic person is not the end all be all. Salute to the real ones.

In between time Lawrence has gone to church, Chad has joined a church, and Lawrence has done what Lawrence does best...meet a woman. Just joking, Jay Ellis is beautiful and if I was bold I would try to shoot my shot after church as well. But it seems Lawrence isn't feeling the church home his new friend belongs to. If you don't already have a church home, what makes the right church your home church?

Lawrence possess an all or nothing trait that I relate to in so many ways. He felt the church out and just knew it wasn't for him, respect the mentality.

After the conclusion of being ghosted Issa is lost mentally. Now I can see how people spiral into depression. Dark thoughts can really consume you at a rapid pace. She coped with it the best way she could, but I feel that this won't be the last of the beige bandit.

Oh Molly girl, you deserve all the shade that comes your way. Stay burning bridges just to be on top, not cool. But, how does one prove they are the best without stepping on a few people? Issa is back on track completely, thank the lord. Or should I say thank you Lawrence? Ugh, I guess this reconciliation is good, but all this does is prove that my theory is correct; their lives will be in shambles until they are back together.

*cues Lost Without U by Robin Thicke*

This episode had so many themes I couldn't keep up. The first theme was communication. There were three forms; tell the truth, lie, or ghost it away. There are three people you know who will definitely deal with scenarios head on. Then you have people who will avoid the scenario but leave some cushion for hope. And finally, the demon of them all, just leaving all scenarios on the table not finished and open-ended with mess. Which person are you?

I felt Andrew was in the right on his second date with Molly. Yes, he does not know her like that. But go back to High Like, nobody knew each other like that and yet he knew about her problems within 8-12 hours of meeting her. He practically saved her life; made sure she didn't die in the fields off them pills. Plus her vague explanation of her and Dro's problematic relationship was a crock of mess. Let's face it Molly Maids, she's not over the fact that he was LYING for some of her cookie. I have a theory about this marriage but I'll save it for later.

I feel that Lawrence will find the right church one day. Thankfully I was born into a church that I can always call home. Now if I move, I'm definitely in trouble. It is hard to find a congregation that is not too detached with the new day and a pastor who is not trying to give you hip hop sermons just to relate. I got faith in him, just don't lie anymore, let the people know how you feel forreal. Say it with your chest like Andrew.

Molly wants to talk about boundaries? Let's talk about how you broken down the walls (in a bad way) of teamwork at her new firm. She lost the trust of the sistas and then turned around and undermined a brotha. She is doing everything wrong. What makes you think the tricks from your old firm was going to work at your new one? You use the selfish tactics on them other folks, not your skin folk. I understand its her job, but you don't have to gain bad character traits along the way.

Well let's see what this finale has in store. All I know is Kelli will be in the house!
