Insecure Season 4, Episode 4 Recap

Last week Issa disappointed, but did not shock me on the fact that she is all kee-kee with Lawrence. They did have a 5 year relationship. But girl did you or did you not tell Condola y'all were over each other? We all backslide but this is starting to look like a sticky one.

This week we see that nothing is working; Issa's water, her headliner, Condola, Molly and Issa's friendship...the list could go on but I try to keep this recap as brief as possible. I don't understand why Condola is ducking her responsibilities, very random since she is Issa 2.0 (you know the one who doesn't flake on the important things.) That was Molly type of shade because mama came with some trees this episode. I never understood shade, its a very passive aggressive way to throw shots...just say what's on your mind.

I saw the Twitter conspiracy theories on why Condola has been curving Issa's calls/text messages. I don't think she is the type to sabotage someone's event. She does seem like someone to distant themselves from the situation. Sadly she has mixed business with her personal life. Issa had her moment last week, but it wasn't with Condola. Condola also had her moment last week and it definitely didn't have anything to do with Issa. Hopefully she will pop up for the actual block party.

Can we talk about Bennett? Where do the casting directors find these men?

Molly is really trying to get her Joan Carol Clayton on but she has a man, a man who really likes her...like since day one likes her. A hard working woman is a great thing to be, but she asked for this relationship, she better act like she likes this man back.

Nathan had the audacity to do a Future-like check up on Issa. Not surprised but the way he left her hanging is just something she is mentally ready to deal with right now. I truly feel that she will deal with him after the block party is over.

Issa and Molly are still acting weird, no character growth here. Kellie and Tiffany are trying their hardest to be a village and raise a child, but all the other two care about is who is acting more weird. Both of y'all are bugging and need to just talk. The slick ass comments can be saved someone you care less for.

Lawrence really wants to be a father, but I think he is second thinking the idea of marriage and children once he had that heart to heart with Derek. Mr. DuBois has grown to be such a beautiful man to me. I wonder what he was trying to tell Issa about Condola. It had to be more to them just arguing in her nice ass kitchen.

I missed mirror Issa.

Issa tried it with Beyoncé.

Y'all see how I am trying my best here, this episode was so underwhelming.

The ending was shocking and uncalled for. Granted Issa should've sweet talked Molly to get what she wanted, but I am not the one to sweet talk people when I want something. Andrew was there the whole time, he should've been the first person to think of when it comes to finding talent. She could've DM'd him honestly and gave Molly a heads up. The relationship is in the trash...throw in the tile. I'll see y'all next week because after this episode I know this block party is about to be some mess.
